Giant Puppet Parade
Over a three-week creative residency at Goomalling Primary School, the talented team from Little Wing Puppets, led by master puppeteer Jenny Ellis, will collaborate with students to design and build towering, one-of-a-kind creature puppets. But the magic doesn’t stop there. With guidance from acclaimed dancer and choreographer Floeur Alder, and puppeteer Jeremy Lavender, the children will learn to animate these extraordinary forms—bringing them to life through movement, rhythm, and story. The residency culminates in the evening procession unlike anything the wheatbelt has ever seen. Led by Floeur Alder, the children and their puppets will wind their way through town in a glowing parade toward the CBH domes. This is more than a parade - it’s an unforgettable celebration of community, creativity, and childhood wonder.
