Buskers and pop - up music
brings the festival to life.

At Biosphere Boodja, we dream of a festival filled with music - everywhere you turn. From the heart of Quinlan Street to the bustling market space, we want spontaneous sound, joyful expression, and the chance for new and emerging talent to shine.

We’re calling on young musicians, new performers, and anyone with a song in their heart or an instrument in their hands to be part of this creative celebration.

Where can I play

Quinlan Street and the Market Space are our designated busking zones—from 10:00am to 5:00pm.

Please set up in a way that doesn’t block stalls, pathways, or emergency access routes.

When Can I Play?

Busking is first-come, first-served. If other performers are nearby, please take turns or spread out to keep sound balanced.

Performances should aim for 20–30 minute sets, allowing everyone a chance to share their music.

Who can Busk?

Everyone is welcome! All ages, all instruments, all styles.

We especially encourage young and emerging musicians to join in.

What should I bring?

Your instrument, voice, or talent.

A small portable amp if needed (please keep volume at a respectful level).

A rug, hat, or open case if you’d like to accept tips.

Keep it Family Friendly

This is a community event with families and children, so we ask that all lyrics, performances, and behaviour remain positive and respectful.

Biosphere Boodja is also a Leave No Trace event - please take any rubbish or belongings with you when you’re done.

Need Help?

If you’re unsure where to set up or have any questions, just pop by the Main Info Tent and our friendly team will point you in the right direction.
