Where has the Koomal gone?

A  moving anthem created for Biosphere Boodja, blending music, movement, and mythology. Written by Fleur Schell, with Noongar lyrics from Elder Tracy De Grussa, the song explores connection to Country and story. Arranged by Daphne Schell with cello by Heidi Hill, it features school and community choirs guided by Rose Parker and local leaders. Debuting at Biosphere Boodja, this poignant piece captures the spirit of the Wheatbelt’s land and people, becoming a lasting anthem of connection and belonging.

Artistic Collaborations.
At the heart of BiosphereBoodja is a rare and powerful collaboration:
International ceramicist Fleur Schell and Ballardong Noongar Elder Tracy De Grussa come together in deep respect and shared vision.
Through clay, culture, light, and story, they are reimagining what’s possible when we listen to Country - and to each other.
