The Biosphere Boodja Arts & Wild Things Festival 2025 was sparked by Goomalling-born ceramicist Fleur Schell’s childhood fascination with the Wheatbelt town’s distinctive grain storage domes. To the dreamy country kid, they were really buried dinosaur eggs.
Now they will be a canvas for all of our imaginations as the finale of the children’s lantern-lit street parade on Sunday 28 September, holding stories both ancient and modern in a stunning audio-visual light projection.
As the festival’s creative director, Shell has taught the town’s primary school children to dream big through the arts, inviting experts in giant puppetry, choral singing and clay-making - some of them visiting Australia for our sister event Wedge 2025: The Australian Ceramics Triennale in Fremantle.
Join us on Sunday for our free art exhibition in a crop circle, free clay-play tent, and fantastic free music on the main stage all day. Explore our festival program for paid workshops, continuing on Monday morning of the public holiday on 29 September.
